   You know it took me years to figure out where you could get detailed
   data on the biblical canon. Surprisingly (or maybe not), the best
   overall summation I've found to date and in one place is probably
   [1]Wikipedia's entry on the Biblical canon.

   The history of a lot of this is why some of us say that "liar,
   lunatic, or lord" is a false set of choices, especially if you're
   going strictly by the written Bible and completely rejecting the oral
   teachings still held by the Orthodox and Roman Catholics.
