   Too bad the sound's a little muffled, as Ricky Wilson's electrifying
   guitar work winds up buried. Wilson had a very unusual guitar style.
   The band didn't have a bass player, but he removed the center strings
   from the guitar and tuned the low strings very low and the high
   strings higher, so he could play both bass and lead rhythm lines
   simultaneously. If you look very carefully at the video you can see
   that.

   Funny thing is, I missed the whole punk rock scene in the '80s when I
   was growing up. I didn't discover its joys until the 1990s. But that's
   okay, I caught up pretty quick with lots of Clash, Violent Femmes,
   Talking Heads, B-52's, etc.
