   Here's a book that I may have to read: the current Pope's book on
   faith and Western culture, [1]Christianity & The Crisis of Culture.

   As someone whose sons are being raised Catholic, I may owe it to
   myself to read this, especially as His Holiness apparently has
   arguments that even agnostics and atheists should consider. Since he's
   got a universal reputation for being a deep thinker, that seems like
   something I'd also be interested in. Especially because he apparently
   writes about a subject I'm increasingly interested in: the (potential)
   clash between religious traditionalists and techno-optimist futurists
   like myself. Unlike the Pope, I don't see transhumanism as a threat,
   but, it's definitely a subject that's going to have to be wrestled
   with.
