   If you get FX, you owe it to yourself to check out [1]Black. White.

   I was certain I would hate this show and that it would be non-stop
   cringing. Well there was some cringing, but there was a lot of
   laughing out loud and a lot of real truth there. I really really
   enjoyed the first episode way more than I thought I would.

   Although for the record, Rene Sparks, the black woman, sorry, she
   can't pass. On the other hand, Brian the black dude looks very very
   white. And, Rose Wurgle, the white girl--she's beautiful black.
   Absolutely gorgeous. Without being rude about it, she's just a pretty
   average looking white girl but when she's got the black makeup on she
   could almost be a model. Stunning. I never thought a change of skin
   color could do so much for someone.

   Anyway, all that aside, the show is great. At first Bruno was really
   embarrassing me as the middle aged white liberal but by the end of
   episode #1 the arguments between him and Brian the black dude had my
   sides hurting I was laughing so hard--at both of them. Because they're
   both partly right, and both partly wrong, and it's just hilarious. But
   it's not just comedy. Like I said, there's truth there, lots of it,
   not all of it comfortable.
