   Probably the most dazzlingly wonderful small science story of the year
   to date: it turns out that male mice sing just about exactly like
   birds do in order to attract mates.

   No seriously: [1]check out the story here. They're just so
   high-pitched human ears can't hear them, but if you step it down about
   four octaves you can hear it perfectly.
