Idol Thoughts 3/7 Cont'd

Here are my notes as I watched the episode:
Paris: Still obviously the best voice among the women. Not an
impressive performance though. Have to wonder if she's still just
playing it safe or what.
Lisa: Cool that she's a Hendrix fan, but a thoroughly uninteresting
performance.
Melissa: She's really trying with this. I want to like her. It didn't
move me. Going home?
Kinnik: She's really trying to vamp this out. Trying. Not making it. I
felt nothing. Going home?
Katherine: She's impressed me the last couple of times out, but, what
the hell was that???? Okay, I get it, take an Aretha Franklin song and
change it it up and make it different but... she'll probably get
through purely on her looks and the fact that her voice is so nice,
but I hope she doesn't do that again.
Ayla: I may be missing something, but this seems very weak. Going
home?
Mandisa: This may be the best version of "I'm Every Woman" I've ever
heard. I don't even like this song, but that was hot! Holy cow, I
can't believe how much better she was than everyone else.
Kelly: The fake plastic bunny who is nowhere near as wide-eyed and
innocent as she acts. Interesting country take on a Melissa Etheridge
song. She's safe.
If it were up to me they'd send four or five of these women home
tonight. Oh well, it isn't.
The clear winner: Mandisa
Who's going home: I'm guessing Melissa and Kinnik. Lisa and Ayla were
sure skating the edges though.
I'm really hoping the men put on a better show tonight. Go Taylor!
