   I make no secret about it: I have an abiding disdain for [1]Bill
   Maher. I have since the early 1990s. I've never liked him, his
   attitude, or any of his TV shows or standup work. Since 2001 I've
   grown to find him outright loathsome and contemptible.

   My dear [2]wife, loyal Republican that she is, loves his show. Why?
   Because every time she watches it she laughs at how stupid, shallow,
   and nasty he and most of his guests are. She wishes his show got much
   wider reputation because she's convinced it could only help
   Republicans. Sometimes I think she's right. But mostly I can't believe
   intelligent people actually watch this drivel. It's like a left-wing
   version of Bill O'Reilly's show, but with cuss words.

   Although I didn't think it was possible, recently Maher hit a new low.
   He said on his show, in the midsts of yet another endless series of
   left-wingers furiously and self-righteously agreeing with each other
   (which is all 80% of his show is) that Iraq was better off under
   Saddam. And he even said clearly that he was not joking and that he
   really believed it. And more than one of his guests agreed.

   This was easily the most despicable and deplorable thing the man has
   said in his entire life--and that's not easy to do.

   I'm thinking someone ought to start an internet button campaign: send
   Bill Maher to Suleimaniya in Iraq. Send him on a guided tour to
   [3]this museum.

   You think if we put up a button campaign and got a bunch of blogs to
   link it, we'd actually get this nasty and shallow man's attention?
