   My thoughts as I wrote them during the performances:

   Taylor: bad song choice. Unfortunate. No way did that show his talent.

   Elliot: very good, very safe. Can't get by on always being Stevie
   Wonder though.

   Ace: slow syrupy songs Ick. Hated it. YAWN.

   Gideon: I just don't care for him. The way he enunciated it was
   annoying. He cannot do Sam Cooke justice. He can't.

   Kevin: no, no, no. Time to go home. Warbling like a sick swallow. Oh
   my God. I'm going to have to listen to 10 hours of Marvin Gaye just to
   scrub this out of my brain.... somebody please God help me. I like the
   kid a lot but ugh!

   Sway: Liked this better than last week. He's talented I'll give him
   that. But I felt no connection. Didn't agree with the judges enitrely.

   Will: That was quite excellent. Didn't agree with the judges at all.

   Bucky: Better than last week. He's probably not going home.

   David: Obviously listened to a LOT of Dean and Frank and Sammy. But
   I'm not feelin' it.

   Chris: Obviously the man to beat. Simon was absolutely right.

   Predictions: Chris is the obvious winner tonight. As for who's going
   home, I honestly have a hard time guessing this time. Obviously the
   men as a whole are subtantially better than the women this year.
   Honestly if they were doing it right this year they'd have four slots
   for the women and 8 for the men because the difference is very marked.

   Who I'd send home if it were up to me: Kevin and David. Who might be
   going home? Kevin, David, Gideon, Sway, or Will. I think the other
   five are all safe.
