   An excellent diary at Daily Kos discusses [1]seven strategies for
   success in the war on terror:
    1. ATTACK TERRORISTS
    2. COUNTER JIHADIST PROPAGANDA
    3. KEEP WMD FROM JIHADISTS (esp soviet nukes!)
    4. EXCHANGE TERROR INFORMATION WITH FRIENDLY NATIONS
    5. DISSEMINATE DEMOCRATIC IDEALS (note: not neccessarily democracy!)
       WORLDWIDE
    6. EXERCISE GOODWILL TO THE POOR AND UNFORTUNATE
    7. EXEMPLIFY GOOD DEMOCRACY

   Read the whole thing for details. It's a well-thought and firmly
   positive vision of what a competent strategy for victory would look
   like. And yes, it is unabashedly liberal. In the best sense of the
   word.

   The truth is that there are many voices like this at DailyKos, a
   community that is far more diverse tan most people give credit for. I
   am trying to identify such by tagging them with "[2]Purple Politics"
   and am blogging at [3]Nation-Building with a Purple ethos as well. I
   think that evolutionary pressuress will give such voices more
   prominence in the coming year,and I intend to do my part to promote
   them.
