   AP is [1]reporting an astonishing 452 raids have been carried out in
   the wake of Zarqawiâs [2]half-ton laser-guided double enema, killing
   some 104 terrorists, capturing another 759, and netting 28 weapons
   caches. Significantly, almost 90% of the raids involved the ISF.
   Zarqawiâs successor was also [3]identified; Task Force 145 did not
   comment on the best dates to pick in his death pool.
   Separately, the Baghdad security clampdown dubbed Operation Advancing
   Together [4]appears to be [5]having some salutary effect, with only
   one car bomb in the last days and little gunfire reported in the
   capital. Itâs hard to determine exactly how many troops are actually
   involved. The government has said 75,000; other sources have said
   around 40,000. Itâs also not clear when the new âonly forces allowed
   in Baghdadâ uniforms and badges will be issued.
   Maliki seems very serious and focused, a night-and-day difference from
   the nebulous and ineffectual Jaafari. His agenda is substantive and
   detailed, with clearly defined and goals and metrics to match his
   forceful rhetoric. And no one could have asked for a more auspicious
   start to his tenure. If he can secure Baghdad and get the electricity
   and oil flowing on top of nailing Zarqawi and [6]hammering Al Qaeda,
   heâll be hailed as a hero by Iraqis. Time will tellâ¦
