   Pew Research has an in-depth report looking at [1]public attitudes on
   gay rights issues.

   Looks like they're all going in the right direction to me.

   It appears that Republicans are going to try to make the amendment
   banning gay marriage an issue in November, even knowing full well that
   the odds of it being ratified are slim at best. Even if it gets the
   2/3rds vote required in the House (unlikely) it'll stall in the
   Senate.

   But that's politics for ya.

   Ever since traditional marriage failed to fall apart in Canada and
   Massachussetts, the opponents to gay marriage (or at least some form
   of domestic partnership) are looking to have less and less of a case.
