   Hey, I said it at the time. Iâll say it again: Thank you. We need
   millions more just like you. We discussed why Iâm not going in (too
   fat, too blind, and too bad a fucking attitude), but thatâs neither
   here nor there. Youâre going off to serve yourâourâcountry. Thank you
   for that...

   Let me take a minute here to say the sorts of things one man can say
   to anotherâbut which a customer service guy canât say to a customer.
   Donât spend your time on the bus to basic reading Sun Tzu. Iâm not
   sure what you ought to be doing, mind. I do know pretension, though.
   And thatâs just pretentious...

   Also, I hope you didnât spend too much time at the bookstore. The last
   day before basic is not a time to duck into a bookstore, but rather a
   time to duck into a willing young woman. Or two. Itâs also time to
   duck into a mature bottle of your favorite adult beverageâthough not
   too much: you want to perform tonight for the young lady(s) and
   tomorrow for your DI...
