Eleventh Day Roundup: Israel Confronts Hezbollah
http://www.deanesmay.com/posts/1153579450.shtml

The hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon have now
entered their eleventh day. You can go to [1]Yahoo News or
   [2]Breitbart.com for the latest-breaking news.

The blogosphere is producing some interesting analysis of the
   conflict.

[3]Donald Sensing of One Hand Clapping considers whether Israel's
actions are a spasm or a strategy.

Don't miss Bill Roggio of [4]Counterterrorism Blog's recent analyses
of the confrontations between Hezbollah and Israel's forces on the
ground. The [5]first is here. The [6]second is here. Many, including
the Bush Administration, are seriously proposing an international
force in Lebanon. Bill's post makes one wonder about what sort of
force would be necessary to have material impact on the situation and
   what it's prospects might be.

I've been thinking about the moral implications of the decision to go
to war. In my first post in that vein I [7]attempt to sketch a
framework based on just war theory for thinking about the subject. In
my second post I [8]apply the framework to Israel's actions.
