Broadcast Networks At Lowest Point Yet

   Forbes reports that [1]last week was the lowest week of broadcast TV
   viewing in history (at least since Nielsen got into the ratings game),
   and the nightly news broadcasts were at their lowest ebb ever.

   This should be no surprise as cable television gets closer and closer
   to complete saturation, as on-demand digital content and web-based
   content increasingly competes.

   What would be more interesting to see is what the profitability is of
   the big media companies, and not how many viewers are watching their
   flagging flagship broadcast products.
