   Here's a funny comedy bit regarding the "N" word. Not safe for work,
   obviously:

   This really does seem to match the trajectory I've seen of this word.
   You've even got suburbanite kids who aren't even black calling each
   other this now.

   Some find it disturbing I'm sure. I tend to tense up just hearing it.
   But the word seems to be moving from being a truly vile insult to
   being something moderately affectionate and not even race-specific.

   Long-term, that would seem like a good thing.

   I doubt I'll live long enough to ever feel comfortable with its casual
   use, but...
