   I see Jeane Kirkpatrick [1]died yesterday.

   One of the original liberal hawks (who'd be called one of the nasty
   and reviled "neocons" today), she was an amazing woman. I didn't like
   her when she was UN ambassador because I didn't like the Reagan
   administration at the time. Now in retrospect my attitudes have
   changed about many involved in that administration. I find Kirkpatrick
   particularly admirable now.

   And the Wall Street Journal is right: she made the hated John Bolton
   look like a milquetoast pansy.
