   Reports are that [1]Cuban military and police have been put on high
   alert, supposedly to stave off a threatened "invasion." Rumor has it
   that Raul Castro is wearing a bulletproof vest wherever he goes,
   something his brother Fidel never did.

   Val notes that [2]it's now been 4 days since little Raul has appeared
   in public, and wonders how much longer it will be before the great
   leader appears to reassure "his [DEL: slaves :DEL] people" that
   they're safe under his [DEL: fascist bootheel :DEL] benevolent
   protection.
