   Taylor Hicks: [1]Heart & Soul.

   From his entirely self-produced, not from a record label, album from a
   couple of years ago. He plays guitar, harmonica, and sings.

   It's amazing what you can do these days without a professional
   recording contract.

   I also still marvel: how did this throwback to John Hammond Jr.,
   Delaney & Bonnie Bramlett, early Boz Scaggs, Boyer & Talton, etc., the
   whole southern-fried soul movement, make it as a top finalist on
   American Idol? Astounding.

   YOu can [2]buy this record here. I highly recommend it, it's very
   good.
