   The Kurds are discussing the role of free press in their area, in the
   wake of a journalist being sentenced to 30 years in prison for making
   accusations of corruption against a Kurdish official (he was
   eventually pardoned). [1]This is an example of the really important
   stuff going on behind the grim headlines in Iraq today.
   Fox News also reported that a national Iraqi women's rights group met
   for the first time this week. Such groups were illegal under Saddam.
