Lazy Friday question
http://www.deanesmay.com/posts/1144378663.shtml
So, I am seriously contemplating getting rid of all my music and
re-ripping them. Part of the reason for this is pure legality; if I do
it, I can have all my music without fear that Iâm ripping someone off.
The other part of it is that when I first started ripping CDs, I used
128 as my bitrate, which I now realize is way too low...
Which brings me to a question: Whatâs the best size/performance codec
out there? I am currently burning Mp3s at a 320 bitrate, so size isnât
the end-all be-all. But Iâd hate to think that I could be using
another codec and getting better sound with a smaller file. So, letâs
say I want no more than 3 megs/minute: whatâs the best codec to use?
