   There is an absolutely appalling new campaign finance "reform" bill
   making its way through Congress. It makes me so sick to my stomach I
   can barely write about it. The Nazi/Communist style "reforms" they
   passed a few years ago were bad enough. Now they're trying to do even
   worse. Glenn [1]has a few links on it. I lack the energy to say much
   more but this:

   There is only one campaign finance reform that would be consisten with
   American values: abolish all donations limits by individuals, let them
   give as much as they want to whoever they want, but require candidates
   to dislose instantly on the internet whatever donations they get. No
   limits.

   Also no donations from non-citizens, and, the politicians can't keep
   the money, they have to spend it campaigning or give it to some other
   politican to use for his campaign.

   But they won't do this. They'll never do it. Instead they'll erode
   away our freedoms bit by bit. They almost completely eviscerated the
   1st amendment with the last round of "reforms" under the name
   McCain/Feingold. Why they don't just call this latest bill the
   Stalin/Hitler bill? It would make at least be honesty in labelling.
