	Peter Singer is a leftist. In 2000, he published a
	book with a prominent university press in which he
	said pretty much what Lawrence H. Summers said
	about sexual difference. See here. But there were
	no outcries when Singer said it. I wonder why.
	Could it be a double standard in which only
	nonleftists may be criticized by leftists? And why
	hasn't Peter Singer come to the defense of Summers?
	That, too, smacks of a double standard. By the way,
	while I don't share Singer's leftism, I admire his
	commitment to science. In this book, he tries to
	impress upon...
