	Here is my review of Amy Gutmann's book Identity in
	Democracy, from a recent issue of National Review.
	Gutmann's book is an attempt to show that
	liberalism is innocent of the charge of "atomistic
	individualism." As I argue in the review, it fails
	miserably in that task. Moreover, like so many
	egalitarian liberal theories, it manages to be both
	hyper-individualist and quasi-totalitarian in its
	implications at the same time. Quite a feat....
