The Daily Update: Cap D'Agde: Karpov, Ivanchuk advance
http://chessmind.powerblogs.com/posts/1225335898.shtml

As far as I can tell, only two of the four quarter-final matches at
Cap D'Agde occurred today: Karpov-Caruana and Ivanchuk-Radjabov. In
each case the first-named player advanced, but with difficulty. Karpov
won game 1 with Black and was better, maybe even winning with White in
game 2, but Caruana held and held, and Karpov eventually messed it up
and lost. They drew their blitz games, and finally Karpov won the
Armageddon game. Ivanchuk's road was a little easier: after two draws
in rapid, he won both blitz games.
I'd send you to the games, but inexplicably Cap D'Agde has amazingly
poor web coverage for such a fantastically attractive event. The live
relays are terrible, often beset with delays, and it's difficult if
not impossible to find the games on their [1]website. (I know they
must be somewhere, since PlayChess and ICC relayed the games - maybe
they did it from TWIC, but then TWIC had to get them from somewhere -
but it's not obvious where that is.) Anyway, it's a fun event, so even
if you have to wait until next Monday's TWIC to see the games, it's
   worth it.
