The Daily Update: Svidler continues to lead the Russian Championship

   Peter Svidler drew his fourth straight game at the [1]Russian
   Championship, but since Nikita Vitiugov didn't win either (he also
   drew), Svidler maintained his half-point lead over the field. However,
   Vitiugov has company in second: Alekseev beat Riazantsev and Timofeev
   defeated Maslak. If Svidler wants to win his fifth Russian
   Championship, he'll need to win some more games - and with all three
   of his closest pursuers still on his schedule, he'll have his work cut
   out for him.
   Round 7 Results:
   Svidler - Tomashevsky 1/2-1/2
   Alekseev - Riazantsev 1-0
   Vitiugov - Sakaev 1/2-1/2
   Timofeev - Maslak 1-0
   Jakovenko - Lastin 1-0
   Inarkiev - Morozevich 1/2-1/2
