   Her story has nothing to do with chess (at least nothing I'm aware
   of), and there are undoubtedly hundreds, even thousands of others who
   demonstrated similar heroism during World War II. Even so, hers is a
   story worth retelling, a name worth remembering and a life worth
   honoring.
