   Ray was a Las Vegas high expert/low master who reached his peak
   playing days after I had quit the game in the late 1980s. Still, we
   had many informal battles and a few analysis sessions, and while I
   don't think he too much pleasure in competitive aspects of the game,
   it was clear that his was a clever and inventive mind.
   He was also a great cycling enthusiast, and that, unfortunately,
   offered the occasion of his demise, as he was hit and killed by a car
   on a very windy day in Laughlin, Nevada. Those who knew him can learn
