	Essent is a yearly chess festival that takes place
	in Hoogeveen, with the main event a four-player
	double round-robin. In the past the formula was to
	have a world champion, a local, a strong female
	player and the world junior champion. This year
	they only have three of the four slots filled
	(Ponomariov the world champ, van Wely the local and
	Zaven Andriasyan the world junior champ), with
	Mamedyarov substituting for the strong female
	player. Considering that he's #7 in the world, it's
	a good substitution! The event runs from October
	12-20; the tournament website is here....
