	Vassily Ivanchuk lost to his talented but
	lower-rated Romanian opponent, Liviu-Dieter
	Nisipeanu (2.5-1.5). Painful, but he's not alone -
	Grischuk lost in the tiebreaks today as well, to
	Bareev (1.5-.5). Nominal favorite Bacrot (by one
	point!) went down 2-0 to Karjakin, but the other
	three favorites survived: Sasikiran defeated
	Macieja 3-1, Svidler triumphed over Rublevsky
	1.5.-.5, and Aronian bageled Inarkiev 2-0....
