	Andrew Sullivan tells his readers in the U. K. that
	the reason the U. S. public wants the Mexican
	border secured is because we’re a bunch of
	racists. Which is absurd. Oh, I have no doubt those
	who are racist might also support border
	enforcement (though technically supporting the
	creation of a permanent underclass of ethnically
	monolithic “guest workers” sounds more racist
	to me). I simply don’t believe there are all that
	many people in the "racist" group; certainly not
	enough to be the driving force behind public
	opinion on this issue, so it's entirely beside the
	point....
