   ....the Republican nomination pretty much sewn up, the liberal press
   [1]has turned on him, printing a story so poorly vetted that it
   wouldn't pass muster in the tabloids.
   Not that it bothers the NY Times any. They've been working on the
   story for more than six months, yet, on January 26, [2]they endorsed
   McCain for the New York Republican primary.
   Sort of the quintessential example of back stabbing, wouldn't you say?
   And for that, the Times goes in the Hall of Shame
