The ignorance of liberals....
http://www.antimedia.us/posts/1190082506.shtml
....was [1]on display again at the Emmy Awards. Sally Field stated,
"if the mothers ruled the world there would be no goddamn wars in the
first place".
If she had studied history rather than acting, she might have thought
of more than a few women who either led their nations during a time of
war or fought in wars. Jeanne d'Arc and the Amazons come to mind
immediately, but the list is much larger than that. British Queen
[2]Boadicea led a failed rebellion against the Romans in 60 AD. Other
Queens that come to mind are [3]Elizabeth I, [4]Catherine the Great
and [5]Isabella of Spain, all of whom started wars (and won them.)
A famous woman of India, the beautiful [6]Rani of Jhansi rebelled
against the British in the Mutiny of 1857.
Going back in history, Ms. Fields might have thought of [7]Cleopatra
II, for example, who led a rebellion in Egypt or [8]Hatshepsut, who,
though thought of as peaceful, was known to embark on conquests of her
own. Or perhaps she might have recalled [9]Artemisia who fought
against the Greeks in the battle of Salamis.
I could go on for quite some time, but what would be the point?
Liberals create their alternate histories to serve their purposes and
the uneducated fools who listen to them follow like sheep to the
slaughter. Unable or unwilling to think for themselves, they swallow
without question the "feel-good" emotional rhetoric of the left
without a second's thought to reality or consequences.
Is it any wonder liberals have sought to destroy our educational
system and obliterate any memory of western history? Ignorance is the
weapon they have chosen to fool the masses. It's worked quite well.
