Since 9/11 the government has disrupted....

....[1]10 major plots by Al Qaeda, including three that were planned
for inside the US, two involving airliners.
The media and the left have made fun of these, claiming there was
nothing to them. Think about this. The government can't tell you
everything they know, because the revelation of some things could
disrupt ongoing surveillance or even tip off Al Qaeda plotters to our
knowledge of them. In fact, it's not unreasonable that the government
might choose to withhold information in the trial of a suspect, even
risking losing the case, in order to protect sources and methods that
have been developed.
So, when the government tells you that they have disrupted ten major
Al Qaeda plots, you can rest assured that you are looking at the tip
of a very large iceberg. Much of it we will never know. Nor do we need
to. It's enough to know that there has not been a successful major
attack on our country since 9/11. Not even at our embassies.
Despite the fact that I am often highly critical of our government,
especially the political parts of it, it's good to keep in mind that
there are many highly dedicated and good people working hard to keep
us safe, to expose Al Qaeda plots and to win the war on terror.
