....[1]really isn't. In a lengthy and fascinating article, a blogger
with intimate knowledge of Japanese culture and the credentials of a
professional translator, discusses the issue of "comfort women", that
interesting euphemism that Japan used for women who either volunteered
or were conscripted to serve as prostitutes and slave labor for the
   Japanese during WWII.
As the writer points out, Japan has already officially apologized
(three separate times) and has paid compensation to South Korea (which
South Korea didn't pay to the victims) long ago. Notwithstanding the
truth of the matter, a Democrat congressman from Kalifornia is hearing
testimony on the matter (from women who can't even seem to keep their
stories straight) in an effort to get Japan to apologize yet again.
The vaunted New York Times, of course, can't be bothered with the
facts because, after all, this is a perfect opportunity to push the
victimization agenda yet one more time.
Meanwhile, the American people remain steeped in ignorance, swallowing
the lies of the media whole and never bothering to seek the truth. Is
it any wonder this country is so gullible?
