....definitely [1]worth reading if for no other reason than it might
wake you up, or perhaps wake someone you know up.
I have always said that the fastest way to make a liberal into a
conservative is to rape his wife and kill his children. Everybody has
their breaking point, even liberals, and enough violence, up front and
personal, will teach them the lesson they need to learn. You don't
back down from bullies. You stand and fight.
If we had kicked Sadaam's butt in 1991, we wouldn't be where we are
today. The Iraqi Shiites would have supported us wholeheartedly. Al
Sadr wouldn't have been more than a pimple on Sistani's butt. Iran
wouldn't have been as strong as it is now -- or as prepared to make us
bleed. And Al Qaeda might never have reached maturity. 9/11 may never
   have even happened.
But we listened to the "negotiators" and the "peacemakers" and the
   "experts" and we hesitated.
The 1993 World Trade Center bombing, the embassy bombings, the USS
Cole bombing, 9/11 -- those are the price you pay for hesitancy -- the
price you pay for cowardice in the presence of a bully, for a liberal
philosophy that thinks that all men can be reasoned with when some can
obviously not be. It has ever been thus.
In the end, many more die than would have died had the beast been
killed earlier. We should have learned this lesson in WWI. We surely
should have learned it after WWII! Yet we continue to ignore the
   lessons of the past.
So what is it that compels us to forgive these people, the liberals
and the anti-war activists, for their cowardly ways? What is it that
drives us to listen to them and think that what they say has any
meaning at all? Why must we, time and time again, suffer the deaths of
thousands and even millions at the hands of beasts because we listened
to the fools who said, "Talk to him. He'll listen. Give him something.
He'll stop. Placate him and he won't hurt you."?
The liberals complain that we didn't send enough troops to Iraq. We
did. In 1991. But back then they pleaded with us to stop the killing.
And so we listened. And now we're paying the price.
When will we, as a nation, learn to stop our ears to the siren call of
those who claim they want peace, the liberals and the anti-war crowd
(which is really the cowardice lobby) all the while sealing our fates
and killing millions of us? When will we finally tell the liberals and
the anti-war cowards to shut up and go away?
