   ....doing research on Jamil Hussein, the supposed source for many AP
   stories. Since I have access to Lexis-Nexis, I did some research for
   Curt of Flopping Aces last night (I'm looking forward to his post),
   and tonight I did some research in support of [1]Confederate Yankee's
   article looking at many of the articles Hussein supposedly provided
   information for.
   So far we've been unable to corroborate many of the supposed facts or
   confirm the identities of any of the people named in his stories.
   It's gotten so bad that even Eason Jordan is [2]urging the AP to
   investigate. [3]Armed Liberal makes the point very clear to the AP's
   Carroll, who has been vigorously defending their reporting without
   providing any proof of Hussein's existence. Bruce Kesler has
   reiterated [4]his call for an independent investigation.
   This whole sordid affair has AJ wondering if [5]making up stories is
   routine for Reuters as well.
