This is absolutely hilarious....

....Dick Cheney was at the Bagram Air Base today when a suicide bomber
blew himself up and killed four people, including a US soldier, almost
a mile away from where Cheney was at the time. (No, that's not the
hilarious part. This is.)
But the really shocking story is the disgusting reaction of the
Cheney haters.
"They missed! Too bad."
"You can't kill pure evil. You have to drive a stake through it."
"If at first you don't succeed..."
"Better luck next time!"
"Dr. Evil escapes again...damn."
"They missed?? Dammit. I hope they try again before he leaves."
This is but a small sample of the comments found today at one site,
the Huffington Post. To their credit, the editors of this site shut
down the thread and deleted most of the comments, but not before a
reader saved [1]this ugliness (pdf) for posterity. Similar
sentiments have appeared on Democratic Underground and elsewhere.
These are the human rights advocates -- the champions of freedom,
right?
THE RUDE PUNDIT: "Chances are, for you, Dick Cheney, it all just
gave you a massive erection and you wondered if Hamid Karzai could
spare a boy or two for the afternoon."
OHIOAN: "Am I a bad person for being disappointed that he didnât
get shot in the face [with shrapnel]?"
EXLOTUSEATER: "I am sorry for the others, it's a tragic thing. But
there's another tragedy, and that's that they missed."
OK? You see where the left is coming from? Now watch Glenn Greenwald's
reaction.
GLEN GREENWALD: "It is only a matter of time before Brit Hume and
Matt Drudge begin hyping the scandal of how liberal bloggers were
expressing dismay that Dick Cheney wasn't killed, and Howard Kurtz
will write a drooling profile of the Blogging Warriors who exposed
this scandal and join in with stern condemnation over how terrible
it is that the Left is so filled with venom and rage."
You see Greenwald knew exactly what the reaction from the left would
be, so he sought to lessen the impact by claiming that any outrage at
the reaction of the left would be "hype".
One thing you can say for Greenwald. He knows his audience.
