   ....reported about [1]Sadaam's connections with Bin Laden? Back before
   Bush took office and all of a sudden everything that was true became a
   lie? Remember when the media would [2]lie in the headlines because
   they knew no one would read the body?
   "U.S. general: No evidence Iran is arming Iraqis" the headline
   screams. "Pace contradicts claims by other U.S. military,
   administration officials" they say. Then you find out [3]what the
   General really said, and you realize the headline is false.

     "We know that the explosively formed projectiles are manufactured
     in Iran. What I would not say is that the Iranian government, per
     se [specifically], knows about this," he said. "It is clear that
     Iranians are involved, and it's clear that materials from Iran are
     involved, but I would not say by what I know that the Iranian
     government clearly knows or is complicit."

   But the damage is done. The headline is what people will remember. The
   headline is what the lying liberals will repeat. The headline is what
   all the talking heads will discuss.
   How can they do this? How can Americans so callously damage America?
   How can Americans value power and prestige and "winning" in politics
   more than the very survival of our nation? How can Americans sell your
   future and the future of your children for momentary "success"?
   How can they sleep at night?
   This particular reporter also chose to insult our Australian allies.

     Australia has just 1,400 troops in Iraq, and its entire active duty
     military is only 52,000 strong. But General Pace told reporters
     Monday the Australian troops are making a valuable contribution, in
     spite of their low numbers. (Emphasis mine.)

   This reporter should be ashamed of himself. Like many liberals, he
   ridicules the efforts of anyone who tries to defend freedom. What kind
   of human beings think like this?
