Did you know that....

....[1]2996 people died on 9/11? That [2]270 died in the PanAm 103
tragedy? That [3]241 died in the Marine barracks in Beirut, Lebanon.
That [4]168 died in the collapse of the Murrah Building in Oklahoma
City? That not one of these people was killed by a firearm?
In light of that, the tragedy at Virginia Tech isn't a "record"
anything. The media calls it [5]"the worst mass-murder" "in American
history" and gets away with it by inserting the appellative "shooting"
-- "worst mass-murder shooting in American history". Yes, it's
factual. But it's also deliberate, and it's also misleading. It's
designed to stir emotions about guns and completely ignore the much
   greater danger of terrorism.
There is one thing that all these incidents have in common. The
victims all died at the hands of insane actors who believed they had
the right to take other's lives to make a point.
