   ....Many of you probably know that [1]Byron Nelson died yesterday at
   the age of 94. Nelson was so revered, in the world of golf, that he
   was routinely called "Lord Byron". You may not know that Nelson set a
   goal for himself, when he began his golf career, to earn enough money
   to buy a ranch in Texas. Supposedly, he won a golf tournament in
   France and abandoned his clubs and went home, satisfied that he had
   enough money to buy his ranch and live out the rest of his life in
   comfort.
   Nelson died the way he lived. He finished his final round, holed the
   putt, and promptly left the scene. He brought grace and dignity to the
   world of golf and to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He will be missed.
   In stunning news this morning, we learned that Terrell Ownens, the
   mercurial football star, [2]attempted suicide last night, and was
   saved by his girl friend, who called 9-11 and pulled pills out of his
   mouth before rushing him to the hospital. Owens, who has made millions
   while angering fans with his post-touchdown antics, has suffered
   repeated injuries this year which have sidelined him. The fact that he
   was suicidal, however, comes as a complete surprise.
