   ....Apparently [1]a new secret hold has been placed on the
   Coburn-Obama earmark transparency bill. Coburn revealed today that
   another secret hold has been placed on the bill just as it was being
   readied for passage in the Senate.
   This appears to be an extremely cynical ploy by someone in the Senate.
   They have to know that bloggers will expose them again, so the hold
   has to be a delaying tactic, although the purpose of the delay is
   unclear. The bill has overwhelming support from both sides of the
   aisle because no one wants to be characterized as anti-open goverment.
   I doubt delaying the bill would allow the swaying of more than a
   handful of minds -- certainly not enough to defeat the bill.
   The one thing it does reveal is the low esteem in which we, the
   American public, are held by our politicians. (Hat tip to
