   by Azzam the American's tape, made jointly with Ayman al Zawahiri,
   second-in-command of Al Qaeda. The video, which was published in
   English with Arabic subtitles and Arabic with English subtitles, calls
   Americans to convert to Islam.

     And whatever their role and status in Bush and Blairâs world order.

   Zawahiri introduces Gadahn and discusses the goal of the video
   briefly.

     And as our Brother, Azzam the American, talks to you he talks to
     you as one who is concerned about the fate which awaits his people
     and as a perceptive person who wishes to lead his people out of the
     darkness into the light. So listen to you because what he is
     talking to you about is serious and significant. He is talking to
     you about the fate which awaits every human, an extremely grave
     issue in which there is no joking, procrastination, or
     backtracking.

   Who might be the targets of Gadahn's rhetoric about Islam?

     Isnât it time for the unbelievers to discard these incoherent,
     illogical beliefs, theories, and conjecture? Isnât it time for
     every Christian, Jew, pagan and atheist to cast off the cloak of
     the spiritual darkness which enshrouds them and emerge into the
     light of Islam? To live a life illuminated by faith, and die the
     death of a believer? To return to his lord pleased and pleasing to
     him, God willing, rather than living out his days in blindness and
     die as an unbeliever and be resurrected as an unbeliever whose
     eternal abode is the fire from which the fire of this world screams

   with no belief in a supreme being must bow to Islam.
   Unbelievably, he even adopts the chickenhawk rhetoric of the left.

     air conditioned oval office will happily keep you in the trenches
     for the rest of his term and that he doesnât care one bit about
     what the military thinks as evidence by his rejection of recent and

     dismissal of concerns about the way Americaâs Crusade is going.

     And you know that whoever takes over for Bush probably wonât have
     the guts to bring the troops home for several years at least. You

     recoil in horror and revulsion and that the atrocities you
     committed at Haditha and Mahmoudia and your brutal suppression of
     the demonstrations in Kabul, and mass casualty carpet bombing of
     Nowzad, Panjwai, and other towns in southern Afghanistan, represent
     only a small part of the larger bloodier picture. You know that if
     you die as an unbeliever in battle against the Muslims you're going
     straight to Hell without passing 'Goâ and you know that your
     military and religious leaders will be of no use to you and will
     disown and abandon you on the day when you meet your Creator.

     So instead of killing yourself for Bush, or killing yourself out of
     despair and depression or guilt or remorse, why not surrender to
     the truth? Escape from the unbelieving army. And join the winning
     side. Time is running out so make the right choice, before its too
     late and you meet the dismal fate of thousands before you.

   Convert or die. You cannot win. It couldn't be more clear. If you want
   freedom of religion, if you want freedom of speech, if you believe in
   human rights and if you believe in women's rights, you have one choice
   -- pick up the sword and prepare to defend your beliefs.
   How many will choose conversion to death and slavery to freedom?
