   who were happy to see the Johns Hopkins study trumpet the news that
   more than 655,000 "extra" people had died in Iraq since the invasion
   voiced doubt that the numbers could be that high.
   They were right. An expert examines the methodology and reveals that
   it is deeply flawed. But then sensible people knew that already.
