Want to see Democrat hypocrisy?....

....look no further than the Senate. They have known all along that
[1]the recently revealed phone record story has been closely monitored
by the FISA court.
Orrin Hatch, R-Utah, said that at least two of the chief judges on
the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court had been informed since
2001 of White House-approved National Security Agency monitoring
operations.
"None raised any objections, as far as I know," said Hatch, a
member of a special Intelligence Committee panel appointed to
oversee the NSA's work.
Who else is a [2]member of the Senate Intelligence Committee?
[3]Diane Feinstein:
Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., a member of the Senate Judiciary
Committee, had praised Hayden earlier in the week. But she said
Thursday that the new disclosures of a more expansive NSA role
under his command could harm his nomination.
"I believe we are on our way to a major constitutional
confrontation on Fourth Amendment guarantees of unreasonable search
and seizure," Feinstein said. "I think this is also going to
present a growing impediment to the confirmation of General Hayden.
And that is very regretted."
And yet she knew all along what was going on.
[4]Russell Feingold:
The Republicans aren't the only ones in Congress who are asleep at
the wheel. When Senator Russell Feingold (D-Wis.) made a motion to
censure Bush for his illegal NSA spying, all Democratic senators,
with a couple of exceptions, ran for cover.
Feingold wants to censure Bush for something Feingold has known about
all along. Will he resign at the same time?
[5]John D. Rockefeller IV:
House Democrats called for a special counsel to investigate the
NSA's activities. West Virginia Sen. Jay Rockefeller, the top
Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, who is to be briefed
on all NSA activities, also called current congressional oversight
"woefully inadequate."
But Senate Intelligence Chairman Pat Roberts, R-Kan., lamented
leaks and said a select panel overseeing Bush's warrantless
surveillance program, which was disclosed in December, has been
fully informed of NSA activities. "Calls for further oversight are
unnecessary," he said.
So the Vice Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee wasn't
informed? Fat chance!
Hmmm...maybe we should check the attendance records of these ignorant
committee members....or maybe they're just bald-faced liars.
