   ....intends to get tough, [1]orders were given to shoot anyone
   carrying a weapon and not wearing an Iraqi security uniform.

     Brigadier AbdulJalil Khalaf, commander of the 1st brigade/6th IA
     division which is responsible for security in wide areas of Baghdad
     told al-Sabah that orders were given to the Iraqi soldiers to open
     fire on anyone seen carrying a weapon and does not belong to the
     official security forces "all weapons outside the official security
     forces or the MNF are enemy weapons and must be dealt with
     accordingly".

   Fortunately for the Iraqis, they don't have to deal with the Murthas,
   Kerrys and Sheehans of this world. They will be brutal and decisive,
   and the bad guys will be dead.
   I can only imagine how frustrated they have been with the "kinder,
   gentler" warfare we have to fight. Now that their forces are taking
   over, they will use Arab methods of dealing with the bad guys -
   direct, decisive, brutal action to end the violence.
