<When you stack Bruce Kesler and John O'Neill and [3]Bud Day and Ken
Cordier and Paul Galanti and John Warner up against John Kerry,
there's no contest. Kerry loses. This is one sleeping giant he never
   should have awakened.>
Amen to that, a thousand times!

....in [1]It's the Betrayal, Stupid. No one cares about Kerry's
medals, earned or not, or his service. It's his betrayal of his
brothers that sticks in the craw of so many Vietnam veterans. The lies
he told hurt all of us. I never realized how much they hurt until CJ,
of Soldier's Perspective, encouraged me to join the Milblogs ring and
   be proud of my service.
   Kerry has some powerful "enemies".

"It isn't about medals, it's about honor betrayed," retired Air
Force Col. George E. "Bud" Day said today, responding to the New
York Times' report that Sen. John Kerry is attempting to resurrect
his disputed Vietnam service and decorations as he readies for
     another Presidential campaign.
"The New York Times would be wise to stop dodging the real issue
behind the veteran animus towards Mr. Kerry. He is anathema for a
vast majority of Vietnam veterans who believe he betrayed them 35
     years ago," Col. Day said.

Bud Day is the most highly decorated Air Force veteran alive today, a
former POW and a Medal of Honor recipient. He is also the Director and
President of [2]The Vietnam Veterans Legacy Foundation and his story
is was featured in Stolen Honor.
When you stack Bruce Kesler and John O'Neill and [3]Bud Day and Ken
Cordier and Paul Galanti and John Warner up against John Kerry,
there's no contest. Kerry loses. This is one sleeping giant he never
   should have awakened.
