[antimedia] Attack Submarine

I just got back from an all day cruise out of Pearl Harbor on the USS
Louisville--SSN 724--first time I'd submerged in one, etc. A great
day--outstanding crew, from the skipper on down. Can't believe how small the
bridge is, though; but standing up there on a sunny day in the breeze was
lots of fun; then climbing down to the control room so we could submerge,
simulated torpedo attack on enemy sub and evasive tactics on incoming; went
through the boat from one end to the other, all levels (except for the
nuclear propulsion area)--& good chow--makes one really proud of these young
warriors.

PS  The Louisville fired the first Tomahawks in Gulf War I--and a few of the
"shooters" were still on board--and justifiably proud
