   ....with [1]2996, an effort by bloggers to honor each and every one of
   the victims murdered on 9/11/2001 in the terrorist attacks on America.

     2,996 is a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
     On September 11, 2006, 2,996 volunteer bloggers
     will join together for a tribute to the victims of 9/11.
     Each person will pay tribute to a single victim.
     We will honor them by remembering their lives,
     and not by remembering their murderers.

   I have added a graphic to the right sidebar indicating my
   participation in the project. On September 11, 2006, I will post a
   remembrance of Lt. Cmdr. Otis Vincent (Vince) Tolbert, who was
   murdered in the attack on the Pentagon.
   I strongly encourage you, if you are a blogger and you haven't yet
   signed up, to join the project. There are over 900 names yet to be
   claimed and only a few days left to claim them. This is a task at
   which we should not fail. Let's honor the victims of 9/11 by
   remembering their lives -- each life individually, with care and
   honor.
