...tell it to the survivors of the Bataan Death March and to the families of

....with [1]this post about a NY TImes editorial.
Todays editorial against the Bush administration in the New York
Times ended:
The Geneva Conventions protect Americans. If this country changes
the rules, its changing the rules for Americans taken prisoner
abroad. That is far too high a price to pay so this administration
can hang on to its misbegotten policies.
Really? Tell that to the family of Daniel Pearl, who was beheaded.
Tell that to the family of Nick Berg, who was beheaded.
Tell that to the family of Paul Johnson, who was beheaded.
Tell that to the family of Eugene Armstrong, who was beheaded.
Tell that to the family of Jack Hensley. Who was beheaded.
Let us change the rules for Americans taken prisoner abroad. Let us
stop the beheading.
Yeah, and tell it to the families of Pfc. Kristian Menchaca and Pfc.
Thomas L. Tucker, who were "protected" by the Geneva Conventions.
I'm sick and tired of the whining and ocmplaining about the damn
Geneva Conventions. I defy anyone to show me one damn war where the
Conventions did our troops any damn good at all.
The Geneva Conventions are good for one thing -- browbeating the US.
They haven't done a damn thing for the thousands and thousands of
American servicemen and women who have been treated in the most
despicable ways by every damn enemy we have ever had.
As usual, the New York Times is full of crap.
