In every war there are sad stories aplenty....

....but none moreso than the loss of [1]both of your sons. Such is the
burden placed upon Roy and Carmen Velez, of Lubbock, Texas, who have
lost their two sons to war.
Their eldest son, Army Cpl. Jose "Freddie" Velez, died during the
battle of Fallujah. Andrew, their youngest son, tortured by the loss
of his brother and the demons of war, took his own life while serving
   in Afghanistan.
Now the Velez family is left with the memories of their sons and the
pride of knowing that both sons volunteered for to serve their country
   during wartime.
Roy Velez, struggling to put his feeling into words, said

"When you hold your sons in your arms, your children, and you love
them and they grow up to do what the Lord wills them to do and he
brings them back to you in a pine box ... you tend to want to hold
them one more time," Mr. Velez said. "To love them one more time.
To say some words of wisdom to them one more time."

Andrew was laid to rest on Friday, August 4^th with a full contingent
of [2]the Patriot Guard Riders honoring him.
